MY Eating Place
The Osborne/Holling family welcomes you to our new site at Horton Manor and in particular a warm and friendly welcome to MY Eating Place cafe. Always serving fresh, locally sourced food from suppliers Bonners the butchers (Ilminster) and Complete Meats of Chard. We have a daily delivery of bread, fresh from Bakery Roy-Al (also Ilminster) and our eggs are always free range sourced from Higher Buckland farm nearby. Catering for most dietary requirements is also easy since our meals are always made fresh (please advise the cafe staff of your needs).
You’ll find plenty of space inside and out to enjoy one of our loose leaf teas or perhaps a expertly made coffee from Somerset’s own Bean Shot coffee roasters of Bruton. Now open seven days a week we are ready to serve you breakfast, lunch and maybe an afternoon tea? With homemade cakes and scones fresh out of the oven or a homemade special from our chefs our menu changes with the seasons!

We have over a decade of experience in making your day run smoothly.
With rooms for over 100 people to smaller spaces for private meetings we are here to help.

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday:
9am - 3pm with last orders at 2.30pm
Friday and Saturday:
9am - 4pm with last orders at 3.00pm
Sample menu items:
For breakfast we have many options including full English with a vegetarian option both served with chunky cut white or granary bread. Or how about an award winning sausage sandwich with free range egg, creamy porridge or a toasted teacake?
At lunchtime we have our staples including sandwiches and wraps, or maybe our ever popular paninis such as a New Yorker? (chicken, bacon and cheddar with a BBQ sauce) or a ploughmans with dressed salad, chutney, boiled egg, pickled onion and some Dorset coastal cheddar that fills any empty tummy.
The lunch menu has at least eight tempting dishes like ham, egg and chips, Mexican tacos, a picnic platter or an Italian rocket sub. We also serve the soup of the day such as peppered chicken and tarragon and sides like our triple cooked chips or buttered new potatoes. Kids are also looked after with a menu for your little ones.
Feel free to call the cafe directly to enquire as to our dishes of the day and also its advisable to book a table at lunchtimes as we can be very busy!
